Gordon and Lowman recently settled a case against a prominent multinational corporation after a security guard slipped and fell on a piece of lettuce while checking out at the cash register in the lunch room of a cafeteria. The client sustained a knee injury but had a negative MRI. The client eventually underwent a diagnostic arthroscopic surgery at the direction of her orthopedist which revealed inflamed tissue in the knee but no underlying cause of the inflammation. Following the surgery and numerous diagnostic tests, the client's physicians ultimately diagnosed her with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, which is a permanent and chronic pain condition. The client received a six figure workers' compensation settlement in addition to a confidential six figure settlement against the cafeteria management company.
